2021 Strategic Plan

What can we do collectively to address the root causes of negative health and wellness outcomes?    What collective actions and collaboration can we undertake to improve the social and economic factors impacting individual health? How can we be a partner working with the non-profit, public, private and faith-based sectors to our area and Guilford County?

The Foundation for a Healthy High Point seeks your input into our strategic planning.  We want to know your thoughts about the work we have supported in the past and what you think the Foundation for a Healthy High Point can do collaboratively to advance our mission.

During the upcoming months we will be reaching out to community members to participate in surveys, focus groups and listening and learning sessions to hear from you.  Sign up to get notices of our upcoming listening and learning sessions. Your voice matters, and we hope you will participate.

Our timeframe

The Foundation for a Healthy High Point works with independent evaluation and research consultants to assist us with our strategic plan. The process is ambitious, professional, fast-paced and fully transparent.

This summer and fall, we will ask for community input so we can hear and learn about pressing concerns, approaches and solutions.

Later this year, our board will review findings, set priorities, and approve a strategic framework.

In early 2022, we plan to announce and implement our new strategic approach.

What we will review

We want to understand how community needs have evolved so we know how to meet the challenges. We will review and research:

  • Impact of our grantmaking 2014-2020
  • Trending community needs
  • Social drivers of health
  • Community input regarding barriers and opportunities to improve health and wellness

What will result from the work

For 2022, we will update our:

  • Shared vision of how we can impact health outcomes and improve wellness for Greater High Point
  • Goals and desired outcomes for grantmaking
  • Grantmaking strategy to reflect to the community’s pressing needs
  • Methods for measuring outcomes
