What can we do collectively to address the root causes of negative health and wellness outcomes? What collective actions and collaboration can we undertake to improve the social and economic factors impacting individual health? How can we be a partner working with the non-profit, public, private and faith-based sectors to our area and Guilford County?
The Foundation for a Healthy High Point seeks your input into our strategic planning. Sign up below to get notices of our upcoming listening and learning sessions. And please take our survey — we are eager to learn your thoughts on how we can work together to solve our community’s health challenges and improve the underlying conditions related to health such as housing, food, and transportation. Your voice matters, and we hope you will participate.
The Foundation for a Healthy High Point works with independent evaluation and research consultants to assist us with our strategic plan. The process is ambitious, professional, fast-paced and fully transparent.
This past summer and fall, we began asking for community input to learn about pressing concerns, approaches and solutions.
In early 2022, our board will review findings, set priorities, and approve a strategic framework. Then, we will announce and implement our new strategic direction.
What we will review
We want to understand how community needs have evolved so we know how to meet the challenges. We will review and research:
- Impact of our grantmaking 2014-2020
- Trending community needs
- Social drivers of health
- Community input regarding barriers and opportunities to improve health and wellness
What will result from the work
For 2022, we will update our:
- Shared vision of how we can impact health outcomes and improve wellness for Greater High Point
- Goals and desired outcomes for grantmaking
- Grantmaking strategy to reflect to the community’s pressing needs
- Methods for measuring outcomes
