Announcement: 2017 Grant Cycle Dates

On behalf of the Board of Directors and Staff at The Foundation for a Healthy High Point, I am pleased to announce the Foundation’s 2017 grant cycles, including both traditional grant and small grant funding opportunities.

Non-profit organizations serving the Greater High Point area (High Point, Jamestown, Archdale and Trinity) are invited to apply for either grant program throughout the year.

For the traditional cycle, Letters of Interest (LOI) for a program or project focused on improving the health and wellness of Greater High Point residents that is requesting more than $10,000 must be submitted by the following dates:

  • Spring: February 9
  • Fall: August 10

The Foundation will continue to accept and prioritize requests that address the Healthy Beginnings Initiative to reduce teen pregnancy rates, improve birth outcomes, and improve early childhood development. In addition, on a selected basis, requests pertaining to Behavioral Health will be considered.

Organizations that are requesting $10,000 or less may apply through the Small Grants Program.  All applications are due by 3:00 pm. These abbreviated applications must be submitted by:

  • January 26
  • April 6
  • July 27
  • September 21

Information about both funding opportunities and the Foundation’s grantmaking guidelines are available on the Foundation’s website: http://www.healthyhighpoint.org/grantmaking/. Updates will be posted to the News section, found on the Foundation’s website.

Important Notes:

  • LOIs, applications, and cooresponding documentation must be submitted through The Foundation’s online platform. The online system can be accessed here. Click on “Create New Account” to begin an application if you have not applied to the Foundation previously. Returning applicants will use the same login information created initially.
  • Organizations invited to submit traditional applications will be notified in March for the Spring cycle and September for the Fall cycle. Funding decisions will be announced in June and December.
  • More information on the programs and deadlines is available on the Foundation’s website. Please check the News section for additional announcements.
