Announcing The Healthy Beginnings Initiative And Request For Proposals

On behalf of the Board of Directors and Staff at The Foundation for a Healthy High Point, I am pleased to announce The Foundation’s first strategic grantmaking initiative, Healthy Beginnings, which will focus on issues regarding Teen Pregnancy Prevention and optimal early childhood development.

Non-profit organizations serving the Greater High Point area (High Point, Jamestown, Archdale and Trinity) are invited to submit a Letter of Interest (LOI) for a program or project focused on prevention of unintended pregnancies, healthy pregnancies, and/or healthy early development for children. More information about the grant cycle can be found here in the Request for Proposals (RFP).

Important Dates:

• LOIs submitted through The Foundation’s online platform must be received by August 4, 2016. The online system can be accessed here. Click on “Create New Account” to begin an application if you have not applied to the Foundation previously. Returning applicants will use the same login information they created initially.
• Organizations invited to submit applications will be notified in late August. Funding decisions will be announced in December. Funded organizations will begin programs in January 2017.
