Foundation For A Healthy High Point Announces Departure Of Inaugural Executive Director

The Foundation for a Healthy High Point located in High Point, North Carolina has announced the departure of its inaugural Executive Director Tina Markanda. Ms. Markanda is transitioning to a role as Executive Director of the The Cannon Foundation, a statewide private independent foundation based in Concord, North Carolina. She will assume those duties in early fall.
The Foundation for a Healthy High Point was founded in 2013 from the merger of High Point Regional Health and UNC Healthcare.
The Board of Directors has engaged the firm of Armstrong McGuire to conduct the search for a new Executive Director. The search process will begin in September with candidate selection concluding by the end of the year.
As a transition, the Board of Directors has engaged Allen J. Smart as Interim Executive Director. Mr. Smart is the former Interim CEO and Vice President of the Kate B. Reynolds Charitable Trust, Winston-Salem, North Carolina and a national consultant working with funders, funder groups and non-profits. He will be guiding the Board through the transition. Allen’s services are being facilitated and supported by m+r interim solutions, a division of moss+ross.
