It’s Okay Not To Be Okay

Mental Health Associates of the Triad is working to remove mental health stigma in our community. With financial support from the Foundation for a Healthy High Point, they recently launched OK High Point. This mental health awareness campaign promotes resources to help improve Greater High Point residents’ overall health and well-being.
The campaign includes:
- a resource page on MHA’s website
- ads on four High Point Transit System buses
- printed rack cards for local medical offices, community-based organizations, and local businesses
- targeted Facebook and Instagram ads
“Many folks would say High Point is a resource-rich community with a lot of wonderful organizations, but a good deal of residents don’t know those organizations exist or that those services are for them,” said Whitney Davis, program officer for the Foundation for a Healthy High Point. “Part of this campaign is to raise awareness — and to help those in need identify with those services — by reducing the stigma.”
