Press Release: The Foundation For A Healthy High Point Approves Grants Of Over $5. 4 Million To Local Non-profits

The Foundation for a Healthy High Point reviews its 2016 grantmaking.
High Point, N.C. — In 2016, the Board of Directors for the Foundation for a Healthy High Point approved $5,449,757 in grant awards to 21 organizations. These funds support projects in areas of teen pregnancy prevention and early intervention, behavioral health, and other services.
“The Foundation takes pride in the opportunity to partner with organizations which desire to create lasting change in our community,” said Jim Keever, Board Chair for the Foundation for a Healthy High Point. Tina Markanda, Executive Director of the Foundation, stated, “The Foundation looks forward to continued collaborations with non-profits to make a measurable impact in improving health and wellness in High Point.”
To date, the Board of Directors for the Foundation for a Healthy High Point has approved $6,769,863 in grant awards.
The Foundation for a Healthy High Point is a private foundation that was established in 2013. The Foundation exists to encourage, support, influence, and invest in efforts that improve health and wellness throughout Greater High Point.
