The Foundation for a Healthy High Point Names Whitney Davis as Executive Director
HIGH POINT, N.C. — The Foundation for a Healthy High Point is pleased to announce the appointment of Whitney Davis as its next Executive Director. Davis will officially begin her new role on October 5, 2026, following a comprehensive national search led by the Foundation’s Executive Transition Committee.
Davis emerged from an outstanding and highly competitive pool of candidates through a search process that attracted exceptional nonprofit and philanthropic leaders from across the country. Throughout the process, she consistently distinguished herself through her strategic vision, leadership experience, commitment to community impact, and deep alignment with the Foundation’s mission and values.
A respected leader with deep roots in the High Point community, Davis currently serves as the Foundation’s Director of Community Engagement and Impact. In that role, she has helped shape the Foundation’s strategic direction, overseen its grantmaking portfolio, strengthened partnerships across the community, and advanced initiatives focused on improving the social determinants of health. Her experience, relationships, and knowledge of the Foundation position her to provide both continuity and forward-looking leadership as the organization enters its next chapter.
“Whitney brings a remarkable combination of mission-driven leadership, strategic thinking, and authentic community engagement,” said Elliott Williams, Chair of the Foundation’s Board of Directors. “She has earned the trust and respect of our staff, board, partners, and community stakeholders through her dedication to improving health and quality of life in the Greater High Point community. The Board is confident that Whitney is the right leader to guide the Foundation into its next season of impact, partnership, and growth.”
Davis has spent her career at the intersection of public health, community engagement, policy advocacy, and systems change. During her tenure with the Foundation, she has played a central role in developing community investment strategies, supporting collaborative initiatives, helping steward the organization’s resources, and strengthening its role as a trusted convener and catalyst for community change.
“I am honored and excited to serve as the next Executive Director of the Foundation for a Healthy High Point,” said Whitney Davis. “This organization has a long history of bringing people together to address the factors that influence health and well-being in our community. I am grateful for the opportunity to build on that legacy, work alongside our dedicated board and staff, and continue partnering with residents and community leaders to create meaningful and lasting impact for High Point.”
Davis succeeds Curtis Holloman, who will remain in the role through October 2, 2026, to support a smooth leadership transition. The Board expressed its deep appreciation for his service and leadership over the past five years.
“We are profoundly grateful to Curtis for his commitment to the Foundation and the High Point community,” Williams said. “His leadership has strengthened the Foundation’s impact, advanced its mission, and positioned the organization well for the future. We thank him for his dedicated service and wish him all the best in his next chapter.” The Foundation for a Healthy High Point’s Board of Directors also extends its appreciation to the members of the Executive Transition Committee and to the many community members, partners, and stakeholders who contributed to the search process. Their thoughtful participation helped ensure a comprehensive and successful search.
